Ability Festival 2018 – Registration Now Open For December 1st Event

The ABILITY FESTIVAL is a program of Desert Ability Center designed to showcase adaptive sports and recreational activities as well as disability focused services and resources in the Coachella Valley, the region and throughout the country.  This 1-day FREE event is available to participants of any age and with any level of ability.  Local and out of area Paralympians, adaptive sports specialists and recreational rehabilitation coaches provide a wide array of opportunities to experience sport and recreation alongside your friends, family and community peers.  Now in its 7th year, Desert Ability Center is looking forward to you joining us.  Bring your family.  Bring a friend.  You will be glad you did.

Unique to the festival is the inclusion of non-disabled high school athletes.  Through our Adaptive Sports Experience program we provide a learning opportunity for students to gain an appreciation for the abilities of people with disabilities, greater understanding of adaptive sports, and present career options in the fields of adaptive sports, rehabilitation and nonprofit service.

1ACTIVITIES – The ABILITY FESTIVAL includes team sports such as soccer, football, volleyball, and basketball; individual sports including tennis, rock climbing, archery and golf and a wide array of recreational activities.

EXHIBITORS:  The ABILITY FESTIVAL is also about connecting those who live with a disability to resources that meet their unique needs.  Stop by the exhibitor area and meet local and out of area service providers.
